Universiade Village residents try hand in archery

Kazan Federal University students, residing in the Universiade Village, were offered to attend an archery masterclass. Specially for them, specialists of the Archery Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan gave a review of the history of archery and its rules. ?Despite the fact that archery is one of the oldest sports in the world, it is still making rapid progress. I invite you all to come and visit our venue Lukodrom, where you can have a lot of fun,? said Emil Minlibaev, President of the Archery Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan.

For his part, Universiade Village Mayor Farid Abdulganiev assured that the student campus would become a regular venue for cultural and sporting events. ?Last year we held nearly 100 cultural and sporting events. This year we will not rest on laurels. Our students must be most athletic, it?s for a good reason that the Universiade Village was announced the ?territory of health,? he said.

In addition to the masterclass, all comers could visit an archery range, set up in the main square of the Village.
