Top Ten Deeply Discounted 2011 Cars, Crossovers, SUVs ...
Besides the holidays, savvy car buyers know deep discounts can also be had towards year?s end as dealers cut prices on last year?s cars to make room for the newest models.
Kiplinger posted the top ten 2011 models with the biggest discounts, based on Truecar.com data. Many of them, like the Mitsubishi Endeavor, are being discontinued. Others, like the Dodge Journey, just never caught on with car shoppers. Besides the sticker pricing and invoice figures, Truecar also posts the average price actually paid by consumers. Resale value and fuel economy, two items on many a buyer?s priority list, and additional discounts (when provided) are also available.
The vehicles, sticker price, and average price paid include:
Vehicle | List Price | Average Sale Price |
Mitsubishi Endeavor | $29,109 | $22,566 |
Chevrolet HHR | $19,440 | $15,621 |
